Unchain Our Children is a South African organisation dedicated to protecting vulnerable people, supporting survivors and confronting serious forms of abuse, exploitation and human rights violations.

Its work focuses on human trafficking, child abuse, sexual abuse, gender-based violence, domestic violence and exploitation, with a strong emphasis on practical intervention and victim-centred support.

Through the involvement of experienced professionals, social workers, counsellors and wider support networks, Unchain Our Children works to assist individuals and families with care, dignity and respect for their unique circumstances.

Support can include direct intervention, counselling, assistance with missing-person cases, 24-hour telephone support, victim and family guidance, awareness programmes and preventative community initiatives.

Every person is treated as an individual rather than simply another case. The organisation believes that survivors deserve to be heard, protected and supported without judgement as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives.

The work of Unchain Our Children is guided by six core values: Competence, Respect, Integrity, Transparency, Accountability and Dignity. These principles shape the way the organisation works with survivors, families, communities and partner organisations.

Community initiatives such as Junior Battle Angels and I Matter extend that support further by encouraging, uplifting and creating opportunities for young people and those facing difficult circumstances.
